When using MySeat, many updates to your app can be made instantly through the Creator Portal and are reflected in your Progressive Web App (PWA). However, certain changes require a new build to be submitted to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store in order for those updates to appear in the native iOS and Android versions.
Changes That Require a New Native Build
If you make any of the following updates, you’ll need to request a new build of your app:
Branding Changes
Any updates made in the Branding section, including app name, icon, splash screen, or logo, will require a new build.
Push Notifications Setup
If you launch your app without enabling push notifications, adding them later will require a new build.
App Store / Play Store Metadata
Any changes to store listing information such as:
- App name or title
- Description or keywords
- Screenshots
- Category or age rating
These must be updated through a new build submission.
Need help requesting a new build? Reach out to the MySeat team, and we’ll guide you through the process.
No New Build Needed For:
- Content updates (music, video, merch, posts)
- Layout and page changes
- Theme or color adjustments (unless part of Branding)
- Subscription pricing or benefits
- Push notification content (if push notifications are already enabled)
