The Layout section is where you’ll customize the main tabs and pages that fans will see in your app. We’ve pre-selected a recommended layout to get you started, but you’re free to reorder, add, or remove tabs to suit your style and needs. You can include up to 6 tabs.
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Layout section. You'll see the Main Tabs, which have been pre-selected. This is a recommended layout that you can customize or reorder anytime.
Main Tabs - Home
First in the list of pages is the Home page of your app, which is required. This is the main content feed for your app where you can post updates, including photos and videos that your fans can like and comment on.
Click on the > symbol to see the customization options for the page.
By default the Home page is called Home, but you can customize this in the Screen Title field.
Next, you can upload a custom Page Icon by clicking the Edit button if you would like to change it from the icon provided. This first option is to change the Default icon.
You can also change the Selected icon for when a fan is on that page of your app. Click the Edit button to upload a custom icon.
Next, you can choose whether to show or hide your logo on the home screen. Click the checkbox next to Hide logo on home screen to hide your logo, or simply leave it unchecked to have your logo appear on the home screen.
To add your logo, click on the Upload logo image tab.
Then click Upload to upload your logo image.
If you don't have a logo, you can click on the Create your own tab.
Then select a font that will display your App's home screen.
After selecting a font, click Save.
Section Tab Settings
In the next section you can customize the Section Tab Settings.
The Section tabs appear at the top of the home screen of your app. Click on the toggle button to remove a tab from the screen. The Exclusive tab is required.
You can also rename the section tabs by clicking in the text box field.
When you're finished, click Save.
Main Tabs - Other Tabs
Next you can start customizing the other tabs that will appear in your app like Calendar, Music, Video, or Shop. Click on the > symbol to see the customization options for the Calendar tab.
As with all tabs, you can customize the tab's name by clicking in the text box field.
For each tab, you can click the Edit button to upload a custom Page icon for the Default, as well as a custom icon for when the page is Selected if you would like to change them from the icons provided.
When you are finished customizing the tab, click Save.
To continue customizing your app's tabs, click Back to go back to the list of tabs.
You can also delete tabs to customize with pages appear within your app. To delete a tab, click on the red delete icon.
You will then be prompted with a message to confirm that you want to delete the tab. To go ahead and delete the tab, click on the Delete Tab button. To keep the tab, click Close.
Main Tabs - More
Next we'll look at the More tab, which is a required tab in your app. Click the > symbol to open the settings for the More tab.
Scroll down to Advanced settings. Here's where you'll find the list of tabs that can be found within the More section of your app. For each tab, you can click on it to customize the tab's name and icon, or choose to delete the tab from your app.
You can also reorder these tabs by clicking on tab and dragging the tab up or down within the menu.
To add a new tab, click the Add tab button and then choose the tab. You can always remove or reorder tabs later.
The Other tab section contains tabs and settings that your fans will have access to. You can rename, reorder, or delete these tabs.
You'll also see the list of Admin pages.
It's in this section where you'll find the Push Notifications page to enable push notifications for your app.
Once you're done with customizing all of the tabs in the "More" section of your app, click the Save button.
To continue customizing the tabs in your app, scroll up and click Back.
Main Tabs - Add Tabs
Underneath the main tabs for your app, you can click the Add tab button to add a tab to the main menu for your app.
After clicking Add tab, you'll see a list of tab options. Click the + sign to add the tab.
Once you're finished customizing the layout for your app, click the Save button at the bottom.
Tab Bar Settings
Next to the Main Tabs option is the Tab Bar Settings. Here's where you can customize the look and feel of the page options of your app.
First, you can adjust the Background Color of the menu bar of your app. This is the color that will appear behind the icons for your page options. You can select from the color picker, or enter a custom Hex code.
You can then customize the Selected Icon Color. The color that you select here will customize the color of the icon for the page that your fan is currently on within your app. You can select from the color picker, or enter a custom Hex code. For this example, we've entered a custom Hex code.
You can also customize the Unselected Icon Color. The color that you select here will be the default color for the icons that appear on your app's menu. Once again, you can select from the color picker, or enter a custom Hex code.
Finally, with the Show tab title under the icon option, you can select to show the titles of the pages under each icon, or simply show the icons with no titles underneath.
When you're finished with the Tab Bar Settings, click Save. You can always come back to edit or make changes to these settings later.
