Go to https://creators.myseat.com/signup and create your free trial account. Then you can start designing and customizing your app, including the branding, theme, layout, and more.
How do I change the name of my app?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Branding section. Click on the App name field to change the name of your app.
How do I change the icon for my app?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Branding section. Click "Upload" to add your app icon. The icon image should be 512 × 512 pixels, and can be in .jpg, .png, or .svg format.
How do I customize the splash image for my app?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Branding section. Click on "Splash", and then either upload a custom image, or create your own. When uploading a Splash image, it should be 375 × 812 pixels, in either a .jpg, .png, or .svg file format. You can then customize the Splash background by clicking on Background color options.
How do I upload a logo for my app?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Branding section. Scroll down to the Logo section. You can upload a logo image, or create your own with the available font options. You can then choose to show or hide your logo on the Splash page by clicking the checkbox next to Hide logo on splash.
You also have a logo on the Home screen of your app. To upload your logo for the Home screen, go to the layout section and click on the Home tab. You can upload a logo image, or create your own with the available font options.
How do I change the colors in my app?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Theme section. There you can customize the primary color, text colors, as well as the icon and background colors.
How do I change the fonts in my app?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Theme section. Click the Font dropdown menu and choose from the available options. You can also customize the colors for the Heading, Body, and Label text.
How do I change the tabs in my app?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Layout section. There you can customize the tabs and pages that fans will see in your app.
How do I add a new tab in my app?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Layout section. Scroll down in the Main Tabs settings and click the "Add tab" button to add a new tab to your app.
How do I change the colors in the tab bar of my app?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Layout section. Click on "Tab Bar Settings". There you can customize the Background Color, Selected Icon Color, and Unselected Icon Color.
How do I customize the icons for the tabs in my app?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Layout section. In the Main Tabs settings, click on the tab to get the Screen Details option. There you can click "Edit" to change the Default icon and Selected icon images.
How do I rearrange the order of the tabs in my app?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Layout section. In the Main Tabs settings, you can reorder the Main tabs by clicking on a tab and dragging the tab up or down within the menu. You can also reorder the Primary tabs and Admin tabs by clicking on the "More" tab in the Main Tabs settings, then clicking on a tab and dragging the tab up or down within the menu.
Adding Content
How do I create a post in my app?
Log into your app using the same login credentials as the Creator Portal. Click on the "More" section of your app then scroll to Admin. Click on “Post”. Using the “+” button, you can create a post, fill out the necessary fields and select the Privacy setting for your post.
- Everyone: the post will be viewable by all app users on your app's Home feed
- Members Only: the post will be viewable only by paying Members on your app's home feed.
- Members Chat: the post will be viewable exclusively in the Members Chat.
How do I add photos to my app's timeline?
You can add Photos to your app by uploading photos to either a Post or Sponsored Post. Log into your app using the same login credentials as the Creator Portal. In the More section of your app, under Admin, click on “Post” or “Sponsored Post”. Using the “+” button, you can create a post, fill out the necessary fields and upload as many photos as you’d like.
How do I create a photo gallery in my app?
Log into your app using the same login credentials as the Creator Portal. In the More section of your app, under Admin, click on “Gallery”. With the “Select Photos” button, you can upload as many photos as you’d like, and add captions, or add the photos to an already existing Event.
How do I upload videos to my app?
Log into your app using the same login credentials as the Creator Portal. In the More section of your app, under Admin, click on Videos and press the “+” button. You can now upload videos from your Camera Roll, Local Files, from a URL, or by pasting a YouTube video link.
Fill out the necessary fields, and click “Save”. Go back into the video you just uploaded, and toggle “Published” for it to be available in your app.
How do I add events to the Calendar on my app?
Log into your app using the same login credentials as the Creator Portal. In the More section of your app, under Admin, click on either Events or Shows. Fill out the necessary fields and click "Save".
How do I set up a members chat section in my app?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Layout section. Select the “Home” tab and scroll to the bottom, where you’ll find a toggle option for the Members Chat.
How do I add a Carousel to my app?
A Carousel can be created by logging into your app using the same login credentials as the Creator Portal. Go to the More section of your app, under Admin, click on “Carousel”. Using the “+” button, you can create a carousel, fill out the necessary fields and link the carousel to any section or content in your app.
How do I add a promo popup in my mobile app?
Log into your app using the same login credentials as the Creator Portal. In the More section of your app, under Admin, click “Promo Popups”. Fill out the necessary fields and click “Save”. After the start of the scheduled period, anyone who opens your app will see the promo pop-up that you created.
How do I create a sponsored post in my app?
Log into your app using the same login credentials as the Creator Portal. In the More section of your app, under Admin, click Sponsored Post. Using the “+” button, you can create a sponsored post, fill out the necessary field and link the post to any section or content in your app.
How do I upload exclusive music to my mobile app?
Log into your app using the same login credentials as the Creator Portal. In the More section of your app, under Admin, click on either Albums or Tracks.
“Albums” allows for uploads to appear on both your Home’s feed and Exclusive Music section. “Tracks” allow only for individual uploads to your Exclusive Music section. Click the “+” button and fill out the necessary fields. You can either link the Dropbox URL of your audio file, or upload a file from your Local files.
How do I connect my Spotify and Apple Music account to my app?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Layout section, and select the “Music” tab. To connect your Spotify account, paste your Spotify Artist ID into the appropriate field. To connect your Apple Music account, enter Apple Music Artist ID in the appropriate field.
To find your Spotify Artist ID:
- Search for your artist name on Spotify
- Click on your artist name to visit your artist page
- Click on the three dots (or "more" icon) next to the artist's name
- Select "Share" and then "Copy Link to Artist"
- The Spotify ID is the string of characters after /artist/ in the copied link
- If you're on the Spotify web player, you can copy the link directly from the browser's address bar
To find your Apple Music Artist ID:
- Search for your artist name on Apple Music or in the iTunes Store
- Click on your artist name to visit your artist page
- The Artist ID is the string of numbers located at the end of the URL after /artist/
Progressive Web App
What’s a progressive web app?
A progressive web app (PWA) version of your app is included on all pricing plans. The PWA is a desktop and mobile friendly web version of your app that includes all the functionality of a native app.
When can I start using the web version of my app?
Right away! As soon as you’ve finished designing and branding your app, the PWA version of your app will be ready to share. In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Your App section. You can copy the link or scan the QR code to launch the web version of your app.
To start adding content to your app, log into your app using the same login credentials as the Creator Portal, click on the "More" section of your app, then scroll to Admin.
iOS App
What’s an iOS app?
The iOS app is the version of your app that is native to Apple devices. It is designed to run on the iOS mobile operating system, and made available to download through the Apple App store.
When can I start using the iOS version of my app?
Once you've purchased a subscription (GROW or PRO), go to the Your App section in the Creator Portal and select the "Android & iOS" tab to provide your app store details and submit your app for approval. The process of getting your app into the Apple App store can take up to 5-10 business days.
Android App
What’s an Android app?
The Android app is the version of your app that is native to Android devices. It is designed to run on devices powered by the Android operating system, and made available to download through the Google Play store.
When can I start using the Android version of my app?
Once you've purchased a subscription (GROW or PRO), go to the Your App section in the Creator Portal and select the "Android & iOS" tab to provide your app store details and submit your app for approval. The process of getting your app into the Google Play store can take up to 5-10 business days.
Live Streaming
How do I set up a live stream?
In the More section of your app, under Admin, head to Livestream. Then select “Start Live Video”.
How do I set up a third party live stream?
In the More section of your app, under Admin, head to “Livestream”. Select “Stream from a third party publisher”. A pop-up will appear with all the necessary information required to stream from 3rd-party software such as OBS Studios, and PRISM.
How do I save a live stream video?
Once you end a livestream, a pop-up will appear asking if you would like to save the livestream as a Video. Select “Yes” and the video will be available in your app in the “Videos” section.
Monetization Tools
How do I sell subscriptions through my app?
In the Creator Portal, go to the Financial Section. You will be prompted to connect your Stripe account. Stripe is the payment processor that we use in order to transfer any earnings from your app directly into your bank account.
If you do not already have a Stripe account, please head to www.stripe.com and link your bank account. Once your Stripe account is connected in the Creator Portal, you will be able to set subscription prices and manage the list of benefits.
How can I set the subscription price for my fans?
In the Creator Portal, go to the Financial Section. There, you can choose monthly and annual pricing for the subscription. We provide an extensive list of pricing options, including discounts on yearly subscription purchases to incentivize memberships.
How do I modify the text on the membership signup screen?
In the Creator Portal, go to the Financial Section. With the “Benefits List” Function, you can add and modify the membership signup text.
How do I sell merch through my app?
In the Creator Portal, go to the Layout section, and select the Shop tab. You have the option to either add a website URL, or connect your Shopify account.
How do I sell tickets through my app?
In the More section of your app, under Admin, create an item in either Events or Shows. Next, paste your desired URL in the Ticket URL field.
How do I set up a Meet and Greet through my app?
In the More section of your app, under Admin, head to Meet & Greet. Using the + button, you can create a Meet & Greet and fill out the necessary fields.
Can I integrate my Shopify store into my app?
In the Creator Portal, head to the Layout section, and select the Shop tab. You have the option to either add a website URL, or connect your Shopify account.
How do I set up an Auction through my app?
In the More section of your app, under Admin, head to Auction. Using the + button, you can create an Auction and fill out the necessary fields.
Push Notifications
How do I enable push notifications in my account?
Before you can start sending push notifications, you’ll need to enable them through the Creator Portal by following the steps outlined here: How to Enable Push Notifications for your MySeat App
How do I send push notifications to fans?
In the More section of your app, under Admin, head to Push Notification. Using the + button, you can create a push, fill out the necessary fields, link the push to any section or content in your app, and target specific audiences.
How do I schedule a push notification?
In the More section of your app, under Admin, head to Push Notification. After creating or selecting an existing push, you can schedule when the notification will be sent by toggling “Scheduled Delivery” and selecting the date and time.
How do I send a targeted push notification?
In the More section of your app, under Admin, head to Push Notification. After creating or selecting an existing push, under “Who should receive this notification?”, you can choose to send it to all users, Members only, or a specific email list.
Analytics
How do I see the analytics for my app?
In the More section of your app, under “Analytics”. Admins of your app can also head to https://analytics.myseat.com/login to view extensive analytics.
What type of data can I see about my fans?
- Number of Active Users, Current Memberships, Signups, Downloads, Total Revenue, Revenue from Memberships, Revenue from Music, Revenue from Merch, Revenue from Auctions, Revenue from Meet & Greets.
- Data can be displayed as a graph with different parameters such as Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly.
- Admins of your app can head to https://analytics.myseat.com/login to view even more extensive analytics. This includes a Heatmap, localizing all of your fans, as well as different sections that go in-depth with User Statistics, Engagement, Membership Lifetime, Churn, and Revenue.

Account & Billing
How long is the free trial period?
After you create your Free Trial account, you have 10 days before the trial expires.
How much does it cost to build an app with MySeat?
We offer flexible monthly plans based on the features you need and the size of your audience. You can start building an app with MySeat for as little as $39.95/month. Visit the Pricing page to see the different plans and features.
When will I begin receiving payments?
All revenue is paid directly to your Stripe account, except for membership subscriptions made through the iOS and Android versions of your app, which follow the App Store payout cycle—typically 1 to 2 months after the transaction.
To receive payments from your app’s revenue, connect your Stripe account in the "Financial" section of the Creator Portal.
What are the accepted payment methods to pay for my App’s subscription?
You can pay for your MySeat subscription by credit card.
How do I use a promo code when signing up for a subscription?
After creating your Free Trial account, navigate to the Subscription section. Enter the promo code into the "Enter promo code" field at the top of the page, then click Apply. Then choose the subscription plan and follow the steps to process the payment.
Where do I receive payments for revenues from my app?
Payments for revenues generated through your app will be sent directly to your Stripe account. To connect your Stripe account, log in to the Creator Portal, navigate to the Financial section.
How do I connect my Stripe account to receive payments?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Financial section and follow the steps to connect your Stripe account.
How do I change my subscription plan?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Subscription section. Click on the blue “Change Plan” button. Click on “Choose Plan” under the plan you would like to switch to. You will stay on your current plan until the end of your current billing cycle.
How do I cancel my subscription?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Subscription section. Click on the red “Cancel” button. To confirm the cancellation, click on “Continue to Cancel” in the pop-up.
Do I receive a refund when canceling my subscription?
If you cancel your subscription, your account and app will remain available through the rest of the billing cycle. If on a monthly plan, your account will remain active until the 1st day of the following month. If on an annual subscription, your account will remain active until the subscription expiration date.
What are the upcharges on my account?
Each subscription plan has limits of video viewing, live streaming, music streaming, and the number of fan subscribers. You can view your current usage in the Creator Portal by navigating to the Subscription section. In the main Overview section you’ll see your plan limits and usage.
If your account exceeds any of your plan’s limits, there will be upcharges based on consumption for video viewing minutes, live streaming minutes, music streams, and the number of fan subscribers.
Upcharges:
- Video Viewing: $0.004/minute
- Livestreaming: $0.004/minute
- Music: $0.001/stream
- Members: $0.50/member
To avoid upcharges on your account, you can upgrade your plan to get higher limits.
Where can I find my Billing History?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Subscription section, then click on “Billing History”.
How do I see my plan limits?
In the Creator Portal, navigate to the Subscription section. In the main Overview section, the Plan Usage shows the limits and usage for your current plan for Subscribers, Video Viewing, Live streaming minutes, and Music streaming.
What happens to my app if I cancel my account?
If you cancel your account, your app will no longer be available and any fans subscribed to your app will lose access.
How do I change the password for my account?
In the Creator Portal, at the bottom of the menu on the left, click on your App’s name to get to the Account Settings. Scroll down to the Change Password field and enter your new password, then click “Save”.
How do I change the email address for my account?
In the Creator Portal, at the bottom of the menu on the left, click on your App’s name to get to the Account Settings. Scroll down to the Change Email field and enter your new email address, then click “Save”.
How do I change the profile photo for my account?
In the Creator Portal, at the bottom of the menu on the left, click on your App’s name to get to the Account Settings. In the Profile photo section, click the “Upload” button to upload your new profile photo, then scroll down and click “Save”.
