Whether you're a musician, influencer, or other type of content creator, MySeat makes it easy to build deeper connections with your superfans and grow your revenue streams with a custom mobile app.
This short guide will walk you through everything you need to customize and launch your own custom mobile app. From setting up your account, to going live with content, enabling subscriptions, and more.
Step 1: Create Your Free Trial Account
Head to creators.myseat.com/signup to create your free trial account. You’ll have 10 days to design your app and explore all the features—no credit card needed.
Step 2: Customize the Branding
Make your app feel like your own from the very start. In the Branding section, first choose a name for your app. Next, upload your logo, or if you don’t have one, you can easily create one using the available font options.
You can also add a custom app icon (512×512px in JPG, PNG, or SVG format) to give your app a polished, professional look. Finally, personalize your splash screen by uploading your own image (375×812px), or creating one using background color tools to match your brand.
Step 3: Customize the Theme
Now it’s time to personalize the overall look and feel of your app. In the Theme section, you can fully customize the look and feel of your app to match your brand. Choose a primary color that sets the tone, select fonts for your app’s text, and fine-tune text colors for headings, body text, and labels.
You can also set the icon color and background color to create a cohesive, on-brand experience for your fans.
Step 4: Choose the Layout
Next is the Layout section where you’ll customize the main tabs and pages your fans will see in your app. You can choose up to six main tabs—note that Home and More are required—and add or remove pages like Music, Video, Shop, Gallery, Auctions, and Meet & Greet to fit your needs.
You can then personalize the look by customizing tab icons and tab bar colors, and easily reorder your tabs by dragging and dropping them into place.
Step 5: Launch Your Progressive Web App (PWA)
Your app is instantly available as a web app, even before submitting to app stores. To access your PWA, go to the Creator Portal, and click on the Trial App section. You can then scan the QR code or click the link below to open your web app.
Step 6: Add Content
Bring your app to life with exclusive content your fans will love. To start adding content, log into your web app using the same login credentials as the Creator Portal. Click on the "More" section of your app, then scroll to Admin.
From the Admin section, you can post updates to your feed, as well as upload music, videos, and photos to keep your app fresh and engaging.
Step 7: Choose a Plan
Before your 10 day trial expires, you’ll need to purchase a subscription. With flexible monthly options based on the features you need and the size of your audience, it’s easy to find a plan that fits.
In the Creator Portal, click on the Subscription section and choose between the Start, Grow, or Pro plans. Use the toggle at the top righthand side of the screen to select monthly or yearly billing. Then click the “Choose plan” button below the plan you would like to purchase, and click “Confirm”. Then follow the steps for entering your credit card information and click “Pay now”.
Step 8: Submit for iOS & Android Apps
Once you've purchased a subscription, go to the Your App section in the Creator Portal and select the "Android & iOS" tab to provide your app store details and submit your app for approval.
Step 9: Connect to Stripe
To receive revenues from your app you’ll need to connect to Stripe. In the Creator Portal, go to the Financial Section. You will be prompted to connect your Stripe account. Stripe is the payment processor that we use in order to transfer any earnings from your app directly into your bank account.
If you do not already have a Stripe account, please head to www.stripe.com and link your bank account. Once your Stripe account is connected in the Creator Portal, you will be able to set subscription prices and manage the list of benefits.
Step 10: Manage Your Account and Get Support
Need to change your plan, update billing info, or cancel your subscription? In the Creator Portal, go to the Subscription section, where you can view your current plan limits and usage, upgrade or downgrade your plan as your needs change, access your billing history, or cancel your subscription if necessary.
